Meditation is a wonderful way of helping children connect with their inner selves and understand what it is that they are feeling, thinking or wanting. This is a skill that is not taught as often as it should be as it actively helps to improve their ability to self regulate. It is particularly important to equip children with this skill if they are going through a challenging experience. The activity does not need to be over complicated, however it does need to allow the children time to connect with their deeper self. This can really help the children to develop a sense of overall well being.
